The Anderson building at the Lyon County Fairgrounds will be stocked with a wide selection of unique auction items on Saturday courtesy of Messiah Lutheran Church.

The church’s annual Harvest Home Festival will occupy the Anderson Building from 8 a.m. In addition to the annual auction, the church is also adding a new 5K to the list of activities.

The 5K will launch at 8:30 a.m. and cost $ 30 to participate. A breakfast of cookies and gravy will also be served from 8:30 a.m. with a community meal scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Longtime organizer Greg Larson says it’s amazing how much the event has grown since its launch over two decades ago.

The annual auction is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. and you can find a list of the auctioned items on the Messiah’s Lutheran Church Facebook page. A portion of all proceeds will go to support the Humane Society of the Flint Hills, Charis Place and Habitat for Humanity.
