Passes are now on sale for the 2021 Harvest Home Festival, hosted by the Juno Award-winning Prince Edward Island trio East Pointers.
The two-day event will be held at the Rollo Bay Violin Festival grounds near Souris on September 24 and 25, festival organizers said in an Aug. 3 statement.
The East Pointers’ Koady Chaisson said the group had dreamed of the festival for a while, adding that, “oddly”, COVID-19 allowed them to consider it more seriously.
“What if we could invite the friends we met at festivals around the world to come back to Prince Edward Island during one of the best seasons on the island? he said. “What if we could show our friends to our community – with its cast of characters, its abundance of fresh, local food at harvest time and its collaborative and cooperative craft beer scene, its beautiful beaches and romantic fall scenery. – to our friends ? “

The first take on the festival was an intimate event, but now the East Pointers are stepping in and expanding the festival by inviting a host of artists from PEI. and from outside the province for two days of music.
The festival lineup will be made up of artists and friends the East Pointers have met and played with during their seven-year tour, including Half Moon Run, Ria Mae, Reeny Smith and other featured artists. in the coming weeks.
Along with the music, Harvest Home will feature food trucks, a craft village, bonfires, craft activities, a craft beer bar and festival campsite on the Rollo Bay Fiddle Grounds.
Early bird weekend festival passes are on sale now for all ages. Admission for children 12 and under is free, and day passes will be available on August 16, when the regular round of tickets begins.
The full festival lineup and regular ticket tour will be announced on August 16.
