Holmdel, NJ – Guess the weight of the big pumpkin, try your hand at the corn husking contest, or dive into the pie-eating contest at the Harvest Home Festival at Historic Longstreet Farm this Sunday!
Held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 at Historic Longstreet Farm, 44 Longstreet Road, Holmdel, this old-fashioned country fair takes visitors back to the 1890s through games, music and entertainment.
Visitors will have the chance to take a wagon ride and watch demonstrations of cider making (12 to 4 p.m.), blacksmithing, quilting, felting, beekeeping and woodworking. There will also be artisans demonstrating the arts of rug hooking, lacework, weaving and more. Ongoing entertainment includes the Jugtown Mountain Band, the “Phydeauz” flea circus and the “Wahoo” medicine show. Be sure to attend the Atlantic Choir performances at 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
