Travel back in time to the 1890s, with the next Harvest House Festival in Holmdel on Sunday, September 29. Join the Hostoric Longstreet Farm, the Monmouth County Government and the Monmouth County Park System for this one-of-a-kind event where you can get a glimpse of life back then during the fall harvest.
An old-fashioned country fair reminiscent of the 1890s. It takes visitors back to the time when neighbors gathered to get work done, harvest and spend time socializing and enjoying the company of others. It calls not only for the exhibition of the best produce that has been grown and the best needlework that has been done in the community, but also for games, sports competitions and similar features of recreational or educational value.
Experience old-fashioned fun like a century ago with activities such as:
• Wagon rides
• Corn husking competition
• Pie tasting competition
• Live entertainment
• Craft demonstrations
• Competitions ranging from needlework and baked goods to vegetables from the kitchen garden
• And more!
